Characterization of brown sugar samples by Principal Component Analysis of spectrometric data. Light brown and dark brown sugar samples were spectroscopically characterized to determine the concentration of Cu, Ca, Na, Fe and Mg. The PC1 explains 93.6% of the variance in the data, permiting the separation between the two groups of samples
