Determinación de pérdidas energéticas y sus puntos críticos, en hornillas paneleras Ward-CIMPA en la Hoya del Río Suárez

The importance of improving thermal efficiency of the burners for panela production and interest in finding the influence of operation conditions have led to the study of design variables and the determination of all operational factors that improve heat transfer in the process. This paper reports a pilot evaluation of five Ward-type burners of CIPMA design for panela production in order to quantify the percentage of energy harnessed and lost in the process, and identify operational factors that have direct influence on thermal efficiency of these production units
