Numerical modeling of heat transfer process in heat exchangers used in jaggery industry

In the three domains, two cases were considered. (i) where thermal radiation neither thermal energy losses through the walls are not taken into account, and, (ii) thermal radiation of the participant medium (flue gases) is characterized using P-1 and WSGGM models, and also, considering temperature profile on the duct walls. In both cases, it was determined that the second case is the one that best represents the heat transfer process. In particular case of domain 1, it was determine that thermal radiation plays a key role in the total heat transfer. Conversely, convection mechanism is less significant.
